"Vitamin D" Reading Discussion

"Drawing is therefore the chosen medium for many of those artists to express that sense of teenage angst, not only because drawing is the bedroom art medium, spawning something that could almost be called a school of "bedroom art" but also because the act itself of intense mark making suggests the suppressed violence, rage, and frustration of the maker.."

I was really engaged by this quote as I've been allured to drawing for this exact reason. I love the expressive qualities that drawing can so easily convey. Each different mark can limn a psychological value. With illustration in mind, it is so important for an artist to learn how to speak eloquently with their tools. That is something I am trying to explore within my own drawing today, giving a representation with character
